As part of HDC-funded project HNS/PO192 staged at The Cut Flower Centre, a number of herbicides are being evaluated on a range of field-grown cut flower crops. In the case of drilled sweet williams, these herbicide products include: Devrinol (applied pre-drilling), Defy, Gamit 36 CS, Nirvana, Shark, Stomp Aqua and Wing P (applied post drilling). To complement this trial, but on a larger scale, some of these products (Devrinol, Defy and Stomp Aqua) have been recently applied, at various rates, to a commercial crop of sweet williams grown at Belmont Nurseries.

The nursery based trial can be viewed at 17.00 on Wednesday 24th September 2014. Please click the ‘More Information’ button for a map of the site and the full address.

No pre-booking is required to attend this event.

Attendees will meet at the Belmont main site by the office, and then go on to the trial site from there. For any queries on the day please contact Lyndon Mason on 07771 984681.
