HDC/CFC cut lily and column stocks study tour to the Netherlands
20-21 May 2014 (dates to be confirmed)
The HDC, the National Cut Flower Centre (CFC) – in association with the Cut Flower Growers’ Association (CFA) and Andrew Bly, Technical Manager for G.A Verdegaal UK are planning a study tour to the Netherlands to coincide with the Dutch Lily Days on 20-23 May 2014. The study tour will focus on lily production on the first day and visits will be made to the nurseries taking part in the Lily Days to view new varieties along with visits to other local nurseries to view new production methodologies/flower processing techniques etc. (to be decided). Day two will consist of visits to nurseries producing column stocks to view new production methodologies/soil sterilisation techniques/flower processing techniques etc. (to be decided).
