Week 22 and 23 (2016) update.

17 June, 2016 by lyndon

The plants are growing well at the CFC, with the alstroemeria producing the first marketable stems in week 22.  The new range of asters from Myoshi were planted in week 23.

The first planting in the deep pool hydroponics trial were marketable in week 23 (although they will actually be harvested next week after the CFC MG meeting).  The results are very encouraging this year and have clearly demonstrated that high levels of dissolved oxygen are crucial to success (more details in next weeks blog).  The aeroponic trial has greatly improved since the changes made previously.
