The first of the Eryngium have now been harvested and sent off for vase life testing. The quality is looking superb this year with very few leaf issues. We have also planted the outdoor alstroemeria and asters as well as a small amount of plug raised Anthriscus sylvestris “Ravenswing” both outdoors and in the perennial tunnel. The lilies are now well through and so far there is little signs of any problems from the herbicides.
Most of the direct seeded fillers have now germinated and another sowing will be made in a week or two. A late sowing will also be made in the Haygrove tunnel to assess the possibility of a late autumn crop.
