Week 25 update

29 June, 2014 by lyndon

Been a quiet week at the CFC and the trials continue to progress well.  We are of course having to keep up our spray programme especially for powdery mildew on the perennial aster, Zinnia, lupin and delphinium.  And of course the dreaded aphid on the Matsumoto needs to kept under control with a Calypso being applied this week.

We have also undertaken a further sowing of the outdoor seed raised fillers.  We where able to acquire a wide range of Cosmos varieties so we have sown a bed with a dozen different varieties to compare performed, vase life etc.

The first planting of Zinnias has also started to develop flowers this week.
