Week 26 update

29 June, 2014 by lyndon

What a mixed bag of weather this week ranging from a heat wave early in the week to torrential downpours and localised flooding on Friday.  And on Friday the only gutter that decided to overflow was the one next to the bed that was being rotovated ready to plant the Leonotis turning it from dust bowl to paddy filed within 10 minutes.

We did however get the ornamental peppers and Dicentra planted indoors despite the heavens trying to explode above our tunnels – its a long time since I have seen so much water fall in such a short period of time!  This downpour put paid to any further outdoor planting until next week.

Most of the Eryngium are now in flower and most will be sent for vase life testing next week along with a few Zinnia.
