Week 30 update

3 August, 2015 by lyndon

The week 17 single stem planting of trachelium is in full flush this week and is producing some superb quality stems.  The pinched crop will probably not be ready for another week to 10 days.

The Zinnia are now in full flush and we soon hope to start the vase life trials in conjunction with Chrysal.   So far this year we have not seen any signs of the bacterial blight (Xanthomonas) which was so troublesome in 2015.

The different Dianthus are now in flower ie the Tiara carnations, the green dianthus and the new Whetmans carnations.  Even though they will be slightly over the top these will be left for the Open Day so that we can obtain feed back as to their market potential.
