Week 33 (2018) Update

16 August, 2018 by lyndon

This week the Lysimachia started to flower and there are major differences between the Jumbo and Mamba.  The Manba is showing leaf chlorosis and necrosis as well as some stunting (see left hand photo) whereas the Jumbo is very even and not showing any problems.  As these are being grown side by side there is currently no obvious explanation for this.

The week 25 planting of Veronica started to flower this week but unlike the week 18 planting it is struggling to make stem length.  This is presumably due to the very hot weather.

The Scabious that were cut down last week have now started to throw new shoots (see left hand photo) and half of all of the remaining plots have now also been cut down (see right hand photo)
